Dr. Ahsan has 20 years’ experience in multidisciplinary population and laboratory research integrating environmental, genomic and socio-behavioral factors within the context of etiology and prevention of cancer, cardiovascular and other chronic diseases of national and global public health significance. Trained in medicine, epidemiology, environmental health and genomics, he has authored or co-authored over 300 scientific publications, and has led ~20 NIH and federal grants as Principal Investigator.
